The importance of the concept of reflexivity in design research gains importance in terms of bringing an alternative attention to the conventional scientific method debates. At international level, reflexivity is broadly discussed particularly in design research, but not discussed sufficiently at national level. Due to this deficiency, study aims to discuss the meaning of reflexive design through literature analysis, and drawing attention to the importance of the subject that is not discussed much in the national literature. The study provides a wide range of content related to the concept of reflexive design and focuses on bringing an innovative perspective to design research, which focuses on producing dialogue-based, subjective, productive, new and often unexpected knowledge forms. Principally, this study intents to contribute to the scientific method discussions in research focusing on the relations between theory and practice in the field of design.
