Abstract
Tasarım odaklı yapılan çalışmalar, keşfetmek, üretmek, farklılık ve yenilik arayışını içeren yaratıcı bir süreçtir. Kendine özgü prensip ve sisteme sahip, görsel ifade biçimlerinden biri olan tekstil ve moda tasarımı, temel tasarım kavramları aracılığıyla gereken donanım ve anlatım dilinin oluşmasına önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Örme tasarımı, yaratılmak istenen estetik ve işlevsel değere sahip yüzey ve giysi tasarımlarının oluşturulmasında birçok değişken dinamiği içerisinde barındırmaktadır. Tasarım geliştirme çalışmalarında iplik, örgü ve makine özellikleri ile doku, renk, form gibi unsurların seçimi, düzenlenmesi sürecinde tasarım yaklaşımları büyük önem taşımaktadır. Günümüzde örme teknolojisi, desenlendirme, örgü tasarımı ve gelişmiş kalıp uygulama tekniklerinin sunduğu olanaklar ile birçok tasarımın üretilmesine alternatif imkanlar sağlamaktadır. Çalışmada örme tasarımında temel tasarım kavramları ile örme yüzey oluşumu ve örme giysi tasarımı ilişkisinde görsel, fiziksel, ergonomik özelliklerin kazandırılması ile kullanımına ilişkin örnekler incelenerek açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda örme tasarımını geliştiren, destekleyen yönü ile ele alınan temel tasarım kavramları, alternatif tasarım imkanları tartışılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, tekstil ve moda tasarımı alanında eğitim alan öğrencilere, bu alanda kendini geliştirmek isteyen tasarımcılara katkı sağlamak, yeni bakış açıları kazandırmak amaçlanmaktadır.

Abstract
Design study is an innovative process, which includes discovery, production, distinction and creative research. Textile and fashion design is one of the forms of visual expression with unique principles and system that makes significant contributions to the formation of the necessary equipment and expression language via basic design concepts. Knitted design includes many variable dynamics in the creation of surface and clothing designs, it provides the desired aesthetic and functional value. In design development studies, design approaches with yarn, knitting and machine features play an important role in selecting and arranging elements such as texture, color, and form. Today, knitting technology provides alternative opportunities for the production of many designs in terms of patterning, knitting design and advanced pattern application techniques. In this contex, basic design concepts and alternative design possibilities that develop and support knitting design are discussed. In this study, the relationship between basic design concepts and knitted surface formation and knitted garment design is examined considering visual, physical and ergonomic features. The main target of this research is to contribute the students and designers that are thrilled in studying and improving in fields including textile design, fashion and knitting.
